Last Game of The Regular Season

The Boys from Sackville rolled into the Arena Sunday afternoon looking to keep their momentum flowing from a 1-0 win the night before against Dartmouth, into the last game of the season versus Bedford and they made sure to do just that!!

After Coker “slipped on a hole in the ice” in his crease, and Miro’s goal got called back, It was the Pilot, J Jets Jackman who made no mistake off a beautiful dish from Urqy who found himself on a 2 on 1 after one of his classic “how do you do” moves on a defender!!

It was Tommer who kicked off the second period, with a beautiful move on the defender before burying one home and it didn’t take long for another as the boys capitalized on another power-play when Peh buried home a loose rebound in front of the net! To cap off a dominating period, it was Big Scall who went coast to coast, dangling a D-Man, and tucking home a backhand that fired everyone in the rink up heading into the intermission!!

After a much needed cool down and a deep breath to get back to reality, it was Urqs who found himself on a breakaway from a ridiculous bounce pass from Tommer, and Urqy made sure to get the monkey off the back, burying one home up under the bar icing the game 10 seconds into the period!!! You know the French Phenom had to get his name on the scoreboard, after receiving a pass in his skates, recovering, and powering a backhander top shelf to make it 6-1 and let his tape job live to see another day… these “sty” tape jobs are horrible!!

Big Shoutout to Coker, for letting his goaltending partner have some fun today and get in the game for a shift and a shutout!

Big Shoutout to Tommer, who played his style of game all night on both ends, finishing with 3 points and getting a well deserved Orange Hat!!

Big Shoutout to the Penalty Killers who had to kill off 26 minutes tonight... insane

Big shoutout to Whitey, who’s 4 point performance wasn’t even the highlight today!!He’s the toughest kid I’ve ever met, who got smoked to the head and kept playing, and a few shifts later stood there and wore a Floyd Mayweather-esq 2 piece uppercut combo without retaliating that led to the boys getting a 4 minute power play!! Those are the plays that win Playoff games and that’s exactly what we need heading into Thursday night. Sacrificing your own feelings for the better of the team!! Love that stuff!!

What a passionate performance today, the same style of game is what it takes to go to the promise land.

Big Game Thursday against Dartmouth.
